Skin Care Products for Dry Skin
Many people find themselves dealing with dry skin, especially on their face, hands, or feet. When you’re outside, use sunscreen that includes a moisturizer in the summer and cover as much skin as you can in the winter. Keeping your thermostat turned down in the winter is a good way of avoiding dry heat, but if you have to keep your furnace running, use a humidifier to help keep your home somewhat humid.
Your diet can also be a cause of dry skin. If you want to help keep your skin as healthy as it can be, then avoid any drinks that contain diuretics, such as coffee, alcohol, and caffeine. Instead, you should try to drink the recommended eight glasses of water to keep your skin healthy. Also, eat more foods that contain omega-3 fatty acids, such as walnuts and fish.
If you do find yourself with dry skin, visit the skin care section of the nearest drug or department store. Here, you’ll find a selection of moisturizers that you can apply daily to the dry skin until it clears up. There are even specific moisturizers for your face, feet, and body that you can purchase. However, while these creams can help defeat dry skin once it occurs, the best defense is to avoid dry skin altogether. |
